Government Accountability

To have a government that works for the everyday American, we must expand accountability for each every elected official. Here is how I plan to do that.

Term Limits

I can't promise we will be able to pass a constitutional amendment that places term limits on members of Congress. But I promise to work with any member of congress - regardless of political party - willing to fight for congressional term limits. This is one of the most critical issues of our day and requires every elected representative to place country over party.

End Gerrymandering

We need a constitutional amendment that ends political gerrymandering. Democracy thrives when people pick their representatives. Gerrymandering allows politicians to pick their constituents. I will fight for a constitutional amendment that established an independent, non-partisan commission that draws districts lines.

No dark money

You have the right to know who is contributing to my campaign. I will never take "dark money" from unnamed donors. I am elected to represent you - not special interests with deep pockets. Any candidate that takes thousands or tens of thousands of dollars from special interest groups will have a hard time representing your interest over their donor's. That's just plain common sense.

In-Person Town Halls

I believe that if you sign up for a job, you should do it. As an elected representative, that means talking to all voters in your district - not just the one's that agree with you. I promise to hold in-person town halls and not ignore questions I find hard to answer.

If I am blessed to be your elected representative, all voters will have an equal opportunity to be heard. It does not matter if you're a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or independent - it is your constitutional right to be represented equally in Congress. As your representative, I promise your voice will be heard.
